Contingency management for substance use disorder is supported by randomized control trials and three meta-analyses. This method of behavioral therapy has been applied to programs with the Department of Veterans Affairs (US) and the National Institute for Health and Care Research (UK). Our clinical trial results for persons with alcohol use disorder continues to support the efficacy of contingency management.
Other contingency management use cases have included treatment for:
Benzodiazepines
Cocaine
Tobacco
Opioids
Cannabis
Methamphetamines
